Same as the last one. Have fun in here. I'll probably drop in a vote later after dinner. :)

[x] A.) Try to stop the nudge by turning away. (I had finished reading an entire military text in 3 hours. Five more minutes of sleep, please!)

You know, if we don't choose that we've arrived, we might not have arrived quite yet. This means that we might also get that extra five minutes sleep (but I'm not counting on it). Lastly, this is the only option that guarantees that we finished the text, which may prove useful later.

(Also, D seems like a terrible option.)

First post is up with the next set of options ready to be chosen.

[ ] A.) Ignore him. Just enjoy the wonderful scenery around you. It’s your first time abroad. (Oh look! Pretty trees! Amazing blue skies!)
[ ] B.) Enough is enough. (I’d rather walk to the base! I’m not carrying that much luggage anyways!)
[ ] C.) Hold it in. (A few more minutes Yuuna. Just a few more minutes…)
[ ] D.) Write-in

Okay, here's what I'm going to do.

I am going to add a vote to the next person's vote. The reason is that I feel the choices given will determine the character's personality, and I don't want to be the one making the decision for everyone. xD

Okay, here's what I'm going to do.

I am going to add a vote to the next person's vote. The reason  ...

Sune, I blame you for giving me the power to do this with any chance of success:

[x] D.) Write-in: flirt back

Since the whole point of our mission seems to be building up international relations, actively participating, and maybe even enjoying, the conversation is probably warranted. Further, as a Japanese women who apparently idolizes american looks, a trip to Hawaii might be the perfect time to loosen up just a bit.

(Also, If we choose to be cold to him, can we please not end up tsundere? While that might be reasonable in school age characters, it isn't in military officers.)

Also, was that Iowa who woke us up on the plane?

@Sune - Hehehe, I use Sune the Omnipotent! (+1 to the next person's vote.)

@sebsmith - In terms of character development, I'll leave the discussion to everybody. Just remember that the premise of the character is drawn from several things at the moment: 1) Coming from relatively modest household in Pacific's version of Japan, 2) Somewhere in the bottom/middle of the military command structure, 3) Affiliations with the moderate faction of the post-war Japanese military. Of course, there are other outlets of which you can pull background from, which is the selection for the cultural exchange. Because it was a highly selective process, it tells you she has high aptitude for something (you don't know anything about the test yet, but it's certainly related to the military's response to her). More of the background will be introduced later on, but these are what it is at the moment.
As for who was on the plane, I'll just say it'll not be the last time you'll see her. After all:

"...oh wait! Your…*fill in the blank*”

A few questions. First, how old is this guy? If he's a navy captain (O-6) he should be pushing fifty at the youngest. If he's younger than that there's probably an interesting story there.

Either way, my vote is also D) Flirt back, but with an emphasis on trying to learn about what's going on at Pearl.

Second, what is this quest's update schedule?

A few questions. First, how old is this guy? If he's a navy captain (O-6) he should be pushing fifty ...

Oh flirting seems to be very popular these days, hehehe. XD

At the moment, I'm planning to update up every 2-3 days. 1-2 days of voting and a day to write.

As for the captain, even though he is affiliated with the USN, he's actually part of the USMC aviation arm as a Captain (CPT O-3) as oppose to a naval Captain (CAPT O-6). His rank equivalence in the navy is that of Lieutenant (LT O-3). And since we're talking about ranks, let's clear up our character's ranking. While she was tasked to oversee the joint exercises at Pearl, her actual rank equivalence would be that of Lieutenant.

Which raises the questions, why was someone ranked a Lieutenant sent over to oversee something this large, and why is a marine aviator doing here in joint "naval" exercises? Those in themselves are part of the story and background. (That is to be written.)
Edit: Actually, I believe the first question that was raised could be answered right now with what was already written, but the hint is pretty subtle.

D) Flirt back and maybe sneak in some questions.

You gave us the options we're going to use it Neo xD

Also I'm still a dunce in this but how does the age correlate to the rank again? I read up on it before but I need clarification [maybe from seaman to admiral would suffice]

Well of course! That's why there's the write-in option. XD (It does make me think of what to write or should I consider changing certain parts of that has not been written yet.)

Although I'm not too well-versed in the ranking system, I'll give it a go, lol. I believe that a commission for an officer in the U.S. begins after graduation at a military/naval academy. If an academy had a roughly equivalent in terms of academic years to a typical university, assuming you have enlisted immediately after high school, you'll be in your early 20's as Ensign. And if all goes well, you'll reach Lieutenant is roughly 4-5 years time.

I stayed pretty low in the ranking system because it's the only relative ages I know. But then again, these are peace-time promotions. Things can turn out quite different during war times when officers are on demand due to possible deaths of superior officers, like when a junior officer under their wing gets promoted to fill the void in the chain of command, etc, which brings to the point of Mr Corsair's very interesting story. XD

Edit: Oh, forgot to mention one thing. Voting ends tomorrow, 10 hours from now!

[x] D.) Write-in. (Flirt back.)

A little short this time, but I'll make due with that. xD (Maybe with the next post.)

(4-5 minutes from destination)
[ ] A.) Being modest. (Oh you, I’m just a simple girl. You’re making me blush. I'm nothing like-...my book! Where is it?! Where is it?!)
[ ] B.) Curious about his rank. (How can you be a Captain at such a young age?)
[ ] C.) Write-in.

C.) Start with curiosity about his rank, but get distracted by your missing book mid sentence.

C) Curious about rank, maybe a slight flirt, then realize the book mid flirt.

The next segment is up! Here are the choices:

[ ] A.) Have to get back to the airport! (Stall the guards! My poor savings! Mom and dad is going to kill me, not to mention the month-long reprimand back home if I slip up during the joint exercises!)
[ ] B.) Ask the captain about the young woman. (Maybe he had already flirted with everyone on the island?)
[ ] C.) Ask the captain if he has another copy of your book? (Well, I’m not sure how much Japanese an American officer learns about, but maybe they have a translated text?)
[ ] D.) Forget about the book and enter the base... (Oh who am I kidding? I’m already here…accept my fate....)
[ ] E.) Write-in
